Rebel Wolves' open-world dark fantasy RPG is set in 14th-century Europe, and its central hook is a clock: you play Coen, human by day and vampire by night. That day/night duality shapes a story built around your actions and the secrets you uncover as you fight to save your family. 3. Onimusha: Way of the Sword (Sep 04, 2026)
Capcom revives Onimusha with a dark fantasy tale set in Edo-era Kyoto, twisted by clouds of Malice. You follow a samurai wielding the Oni Gauntlet, a mystical artifact that grants the power to slay underworld monsters called Genma, across bloodstained battlefields of intense swordplay. Blending adventure, hack-and-slash, and RPG elements, it aims to bring the series' gritty combat to a modern audience. 4. Star Wars Zero Company (Aug 27, 2026)
Bit Reactor's single-player turn-based tactics game puts you in command of an elite squad through what the studio describes as a gritty, authentic story. If you have been waiting for a squad-based strategy take on the Star Wars universe, this is the one to watch, and it is the first release on this list to land. It arrives August 27, 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox, making it your earliest chance this month to test the tactical waters.

5. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave (Sep 17, 2026)
Intelligent Systems returns with a turn-based strategy RPG built around the Heroic Games, a tournament where warriors compete for a wish granted by the Divine Sovereign. It builds on the series' tactical foundation with combat arts, gambits, and crests, and adds a new Blaze Arts mechanic that lets units spend health for powerful special abilities.
